Central to the installation is the model. It is actually a scale model (1/20) of the exhibition space.

It stands on a table in the centre of the gallery

Constructed before the exhibition, it contains small photographs of all the paintings of Mysterium Tremendum in their position on the walls of the gallery. The model served as the template for the show. It places the visitor both inside and outside of ‘Mysterium Tremendum’.
